“I think I lost a lot of my childhood. Like, I went from not knowing anything about life and stuff, and now I just know a lot of different things. I know how hard the world is. I wasn’t aware of anything that was going on before, and now I am. It feels like a sense of nostalgia, every time I see someone that’s really happy, like childhood stuff.
My mom moved in with my auntie, me and my cousin, who is three years older than me, she’s in year 11. She already knew all this stuff, and we were just stuck together for so long that it kind of wore on to me. It just felt like it made us connect a lot more, so [we’re] a lot closer than we were.”
